Heinrich Keim (d.1802) was also known as Henry Kime. He married Anna Catharina ______ (name from christening record of a child) probably before 1763. Heinrich and his family are thought to have been in Frederickstown, Frederick County, Maryland by 1763 (Conrad's pension application). It is proved they were there in 1775. Heinrich had nine proved children the first seven of whom were: Conrad born about 1763, Christina born about 1764, Catherine born about 1765, Elizabeth about 1768, Jacob in 1772, Valentine in 1775, and Mary Molly in 1776. They traveled from Frederick County, Maryland to Morgantown in Loudoun County, Virginia on the border of Fauquier County, Virginia about 1777. This was a German settlement not a town. Their eighth child, Abraham was born by 1782 when he was christened in Lovettsville, Loudoun County, Virginia. (Fredericktown, Maryland and Lovettsville, Virginia were under 20 miles apart.) Their ninth child, Johann Heinrich was christened in Loudoun County, Virginia in 1784. They then moved to Rockbridge County, Virginia in 1789 and to Bath County, Virginia in 1791. Henry had land in Bath County by 1795 on the north side of Jacksons River next to John Dean, David Cochran, John Oliver, Adam Gwin, and Anthony Mustoe. This area included Chimney Run and Warm Spring Run, branches of Jacksons River in Bath County. Henry Keim died in Bath County, Virginia in 1802 and Catherine died there shortly after the 7th of December, 1805.
Please note: The Find a Grave memorial for Heinrich Keim (born 1732) is not a reputable source and when someone adds the 1802 death date to this memorial it perpetuates inaccurate information. It was made by someone, not knowing where Heinrich (d. 1802) is buried, with no sources. It is what someone believes and should not be cited as a source. "The Keim and Allied Families in America and Europe" was published in 1898 and is a genealogical compilation using research of paper documents and what various Keim people remembered and/or believed. It is not a primary source and includes errors, speculation, and assumptions. It is a starting place for research.
