Julius was born in the Baden region of Germany and moved to the United States with his Mother (and Father?) and sister to Minnesota. The 1910 census[1] shows Julius living with his mother, Maria Josepha, in Otto, Minnesota. An article in The Bulletin newspaper[2] mentions them moving to Wisconsin to live with his sister, Josephina's, family later that year.
