Long Cemetery, Lexington Township, Sanilac Co, MI. The cemetery is located on County Farm Road about 1 1/2 miles west of the Lake Huron coastline. This cemetery was used by the Sanilac County Farm for its residents. No marker was found during a 1996 visit for Ira and it is suspected he was buried in the potter's plot. The cemetery is a small one, located on the top of a small rise with several very old maple trees gracing its presence. The grass was long and green on that day. There were signs that the cemetery is still active. The place of burial was listed on the Michigan Death Certificate.
