Thomas was born in 1837. He is the son of Samuel Kelley and Phoebe Sawyer. He married Eliza Ann (Sawyer) Sawyer. He passed away in 1889 on his ship Piero 100 miles southwest of the Dry Tortugas and is buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Jonesport, Maine. [1][2]
