William Prentice Kelley was born on October 23, 1868 in San Francisco, San Francisco, California, USA, son of Henry Scudder Kelley (1838–1906) and Ellen Eliza Moyle (~1839–1920).[1]

William died of typhoid fever on October 1, 1881 in San Jose, Santa Clara County, California, United States, aged 12. He is commemorated at Oak Hill Memorial Park.[1]
