Daniel Kellogg was born on 7 May 1671 in Norwalk, Fairfield, Connecticut Colony, son of Daniel Kellogg Sr. (<1630 - 1688) and Bridget (Bouton) Kellogg (1642 - 1689).
His siblings were:

Daniel married Elizabeth Preston (1676 - 1763) in 1698 in Norwalk. Their children were:
- Dea. John Kellogg (~1701 - 1740)
- Benjamin Kellogg (1704 - 1748)
- Joanna Kellogg (1706 - <1720)
- Eliaseph Kellogg (~1709 - 1792).
Daniel died before 28 Jul 1709 in Norwalk aged 38, and was buried in East Norwalk Historical Cemetery, Norwalk, Fairfield, Connecticut
