John was baptized at Farmington, Connecticut 29 Dec 1656.^[1]. He is the son of Lt. Joseph Kellogg and his first wife Joanna (Unknown)^[2].

He married at Hadley, Massachusetts, 23 Dec 1680, 1) Sarah Moody, daughter of Samuel and Sarah (Deming) Moody.^[1] They had five children.^[1][2] Their children are:
