IN MEMORIAM.
In sad memory of my beloved wife, ELIZABETH BOAN, who departed this life March 17, 1896.
'Tis hard to break the tender cord
When love has bound the heart:
'Tis hard, so hard, to speak the words.
We for a time must part
Dearest loved one, we have laid thee
In th peaceful grave's embrace ;
But thy memory will be
Cherished till we see thy heavenly face.
Inserted by her sorrowing husband, Thomas Boan.
We miss thee from our home, dear mother,
We miss thee from thy place ;
A shadow o'er our life is cast,
We miss the sunshine of thy face.
We miss thy kind and willing hand.
Thy fond and earnest care ;
Our home is dark without thee.
We miss thee everywhere
Inserted by his sorrowing children, William, Hugh, and Mary Boan.
