From "Joseph Small's Diary of Burgeo - 1925"[1]:
Dennis Kinslow's [...] wife was a Kelly, sister to Mrs. George Hare, of the Point. A brother of theirs lived and died at Francois. The family consisted of Tryphena, George, Abraham, and Priscilla. Dennis and his wife have been long dead, say over thirty years.
Name spelled as 'Ester' on both confirmation listing and daughter's death certificate, but 'Esther' on children's baptism records.
1891 census has his daughter Tryphena's mother and father's 'Country or Province of Birth' noted as Newfoundland.
"Dennis, 1812-1887, married Esther Kelly (born 1809); William 1810-1850, married Emma Kelly, born 1826, said to have been Esther Kelly's sister. " "It is said that they had a sister who married George Hare at Burgeo. (Rev. Blackmore's Diary of Burgeo states that Esther was born in 1809 and her sister Emma was born in 1826.)"[2]
