WEDDINGS
Badman — Kelly
At the Riverton Methodist Church the marriage was celebrated of Harold, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Badman, of 'Hill View', Pinnaroo, to Chrissie, eldest daughter of Mr. end Mrs. J. E. Kelly, of 'Sulby,' Riverton. The Rev. A. E. Jones, of Parkside West, assisted by the Rev. A. M. Davis, of Riverton, officiated. The bride was gowned in ivory satin. Her frock was tight fitting to the knees and flared to the ground, forming a train. Her headdress of lace and tulle was held in place at the back of head by a bandeau of orange blossom. She carried a bouquet of arum lilies with a touch of pink. The bridesmaids (Misses Mavis Kelly and Evelyn Badman) were dressed similarly to the bride in pink marocain with hat and shoes to match. Each car-ried a pink bouquet with a touch of blue. The bride was also attended by two little flower girls, Marley and Nancy Hannaford, who were frocked in pale pink georgette, frilled to the ground, with a bandeau of forget-me-nots and rosebuds. Each car-ried a basket of pink and blue flowers. The best man was Mr. Reg. Badman, and the groomsman Mr. Deryck Kelly. The church had been decorated by the girls' guild. An anthem was rendered by the choir, of which the bride was a member, and solos by Mrs. A. M. Davis and Miss Edna Kelly. The bride's mother was dressed in black marocain and lace, and carried a bouquet of autumn tints. The bridegroom's mother wore a navy wool crepe de chine dress and carried a bouquet of red carnations. On leaving the church little Josephine Kelly and Rosie Ward hung lucky horseshoes on the bride's arm. The children of the kindergarten, holding streamers, formed a guard of honor from the church door to the car. The recep-tion was held at the home of the bride's parents. The bride travelled in a blue marocain dress, with hat and coat to match.
