Mary Rebecca Kelly was born on 23 Nov 1848 in Tennessee, United States, daughter of William Patrick Kelly (1819 - 1910) and Frances (Mobley) Kelly (1818 - ~1900).

On 29 Jan 1893 in Ellis County, Texas Mary Rebecca married J. M. House. Family lore is that J. M. was a wife beater, and Mary's sons ran him out of the country.Researcher Jimmy King, author of THE KING FAMILY, pub. 1993, included a copy of their Marriage License application. It showed : J. M. House and Mrs. M. R. King,
On 1 Feb 1897 in Johnson, Texas, Mary Rebecca House married Samuel Miller. Researcher Jimmy King included a copy of the marriage license application for Samuel Miller and Miss M. R. King, to marry within sixty days, applied on the 1st day of February, 1897. The bottom of the license reads: This certifies that I joined in marriage
Mary died on 30 Sep 1910 in Oklahoma aged 61. She is buried in Bee Cemetery, Bee, Johnston County, Oklahoma, USA.[3]
