Janet must have adopted the name of Jessie at some stage as this is the name used in her funeral notice and the cemetery records.
In Weavers to Wapstraw by Ben Evans records:
The Kellys had a small cottage next door in Bewers Street and it appears that some of the girls carried on a business here until 1847 as straw bonnet makers.
Jessie, the second eldest of the Kelly Girls remained a spinster.
