San Francisco. Nov. 9.- Funeral services for John A. Kelly, prominent San Francisco political and labor leader, were held today from the Gantner, Felder, Kenney Chaapel, 1965 Market Street followed by requiem mass at St. Anne’s Church.
Kelly was a San Francisco Supervisor during the administration of Mayor P.H. McCarthy and headed the Finance Committee that raised $1,000,000 as San Francisco’s share for the Panama-Pacific International Exposition.
He was former president of the San Francisco Labor Council and was a past grand president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Surviving him are his widow, and four children, Dorothea, Jack, Thomas and Ruth Kelly.[1]
