Pleasant was born about 1812 in South Carolina. He was the son of Aaron Kemp and Sarah Kemp. He and wife Emorenda were listed in the 1850 Census in Fayette County, Alabama, something happened to both Pleasant and his wife because both were deceased prior to March 1857. As required by law their minor children were appointed a guardian to oversee their inheritance So they went to live with family members who were their guardians. He passed away before March 1857.[1].
