After a protracted illness, Mr. William Kemp, of Ebenezer, died in a hospital at Balmain early, on Monday morning last, in his 66th year. He was a son. of the late Peter Kemp, senr., and was a native of the Hawkesbury River. His wife died about 10 years ago. The late William Kemp was a quiet and inoffensive man, upright in all his dealings, and was greatly esteemed by all who knew him. He was a brother to:the great rower, Peter Kemp, who some years ago held the world's sculling championship. The other surviving brother and sisters of the deceased are: Edward (Gosford), Mrs. Stewart (Balmain), Mrs. Lang, Mrs. J. T. Metherell (Pennant Hills, and late of Colo), Mrs. McKellar (Penrith), and Mrs. Edgar Lowe (Ebenezer) . The deceased's own family are: Mrs. W. C. Stubbs (Cattai), Mrs. Ernest Rose (Balmain), Mr. W. R. Kemp (Balmain), and Mr. Hilton Kemp, of Windsor. The interment took place at Sackville Church of England cemetery on Wednesday, the remains being laid beside those of his late wife. Rev. G. P. Birk conducted the last sad rites, and Mr. Chandler was the undertaker.
