John Kandrick was born August 21, 1745 in Amesbury, Massachusetts. His parents were Samuel Kendrick and Hannah Colby.

He married Keziah Baldwin on February 06, 1772. ^{[1] [2]}

   Lieutenant John Kandrick served with 5th Massachusetts Bay Provincial Regiment (1775), Continental Army during the American Revolution.

John was a Sergeant in Capt. Benjamin Houghton's company of Minutemen, Col. John Whitcomb's rehiment, which marched on the alarm of April 19, 1775, afterwhich he was made a Lieutenant in Capt. Andrew Haskell's company, Col. Asa Whitcomb's regiment. ^{[4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9]}

He died on April 28, 1808 in Heath, Franklin County, Massachusetts. ^[3]
