This information comes from the book "Just a Thin Slice: A Family's Journey Through the American Landscape - 1623 to the Present" by Jim Kenaston (2017). I haven't seen the book but you can view excerpts on Google Books. It says that Henry and his wife and four children came to America on the ship Margaret & John in 1623, but I seriously doubt this information. Another site (https://www.geni.com/people/Henry-Keniston/6000000005395506693) adds "The records state their reasons for coming were because of "religious conviction." Regretfully, Henry and his wife Elizabeth and two of their children, Mary and James died of "the sickness", shortly after their arrival. This is believed to have been a combination of scurvy, tuberculosis, and pneumonia. Most likely, sixteen-year-old Allen and eight-year-old John were taken into the already established households at Cocheco, Massachusetts settlement on the Piscataqua River." I suspect that information also comes from the Kenaston book. If all of this information presented actually existed I'm sure that Robert Charles Anderson in his Great Migration Series would have found it and the Keniston family would be included in his first three volume set of the Great Migration Begins, 1620-1633. He doesn't even mention a ship called the Margaret & John in his discussion of extant New England ship passenger lists of that time period. Googling the name of the ship finds records of one that traveled multiple times to Virginia, and one mention of an Allen Keniston (of Virginia) who came on it. The fact that Anderson makes no mention of this family or ship makes me wonder if the information in the Kenaston book is completely fictional. Unless the author has access to really old family records that were never made public, I wouldn't trust any of this information.
