DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Sarah Caroline by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.

It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Sarah Caroline:
I've looked at the data both here and on Ancestry and it suggests her birth year was 1861, not 1848. In the 1870 Census, she is listed as "Carrie age 9". She was also listed as 33 on her death by 'burn' on May 31, 1893 (Maine Maine State Archives; Cultural Building, 84 State House Station, Augusta, ME 04333-0084; 1892-1907 Vital Records; Roll Number: 28). I am going to change this information in the record.
