Biography

James was born in 1906. It was always thought (by his son Robert) that he was born in Winchester, Ohio but his obituary listed Winchester, Iowa as his birthplace. Those records we are searching for. He was first married to Violet Mae Kelly, but they divorced after he returned from WWII. He served in the Army Air Force as a Gunnar with missions in Normandy, France and Europe. He enjoyed fishing the Ausable River in Michigan and going to the horsetrack. His second wife was Della Mae Conley from Kentucky, she passed in 1981. He passed in 1976, they are buried in Ohio. Soon after his passing Della required skilled nursing care and after she moved, no one knows what happened to family records. We'd been told that his father was Christopher and his mother was named Rebecca. ^[1]
