The obit from the Caddo Herald, Aug. 12,1932. J.W.S. Kennedy died Tuesday night as the clock was striking eleven at the home of his son, Jess, near Franklin School. Remains were buried in Caddo Cemetery Wednesday afternoon at 5 o'clock. Mr. Kennedy was 80 years of age, had lived near Caddo some 30 years, coming from Fannin County, Texas. He was a farmer and lecturer, a member of the Baptist Church. He and Mrs. Kennedy had been married 60 years and she survives him with 4 sons, Will, Jim, Jess, and Ech; 2 daughters, Mrs. M.E. Griffs, Hugo and Mrs. Liza Park, Caddo.
