I recall having a reference to John Whitten's will having been witnessed by John Frederick Kern and one of his sons, but cannot locate this source now. I felt that it was reasonable for Pheby's father to be such a witness.

I will remove John F. Kern as her father until I can locate this source. If you run across any further leads, please let me know.
