Biography

Birth and Early Life

Annie Cecelia Kerr was born on 4 December 1866 in New York, New York, New York, United States to Alexander Milton Kerr (1832-1907) and Anna Cecelia Craig (1833-1905) as the third of six children.

  1. Thomas Alexander Kerr was born on 23 September 1862 in New York, New York, United States. He died on 19 January 1937 in Topeka, Shawnee, Kansas, United States.
  2. Union Lincoln Kerr was born on 14 January 1864 in New York, New York, United States. He died on 30 April 1890 probably in Goff, Nemaha, Kansas, United States.
  3. Mary Theresa Kerr was born on 27 October 1867 in New York, New York, United States. She died on 30 March 1901 in Pueblo, Pueblo, Colorado, United States.
  4. Norma Evalina Kerr was born on 1 February 1870 in Forest Lake, Lake, Illinois, United States. She died on 8 September 1945 in Goff, Nemaha, Kansas, United States.
  5. Hiram Winfield Kerr was born on 20 March 1874 in Goff, Nemaha, Kansas, United States. He died after September 1918.

The family moved from New York to Forest Lake, Lake, Illinois between the birth of Mary Theresa Kerr in October 1867 and the birth of Norma Evalina Kerr in February 1870. Her youngest sibling, Hiram Walter, was born o 20 March 1874 in Goff, Nemaha, Kansas.

They were in Granada, Nemaha Kansas on 17 August 1870 and by 1875 to Harrison, Nemaha, Kansas.

Marriage and Family

Annie married Lewis Jerome Logan, Jr. (1863-1944) on 1 November 1888 in Kansas when she was 21. They moved to Nebraska and later to Denver before they settled in Wyoming and lived for 41 years. They had five children.

  1. Thomas Arthur Logan, called Arthur, was born on 5 November 1889 in Goff, Nemaha, Kansas, United States. He married Evelyn V. Logan (1899- ) c. 1899. Arthur died on 29 June 1966 in Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri, United States.
  2. Leslie Raymond Logan was born on 15 January 1892 in Denver, Denver, Colorado, United States. He married Bessie May Cook (1888-1940) c. 1918. Leslie died on 5 October 1988 in Ozark, Franklin, Arkansas, United States.
  3. Joseph Ivan Logan, called Joe, was born on 14 November 1896 in Denver, Adams, Colorado, United States. He married 1) Rose Falkner ( -1931) in 1925 in Douglas County, Colorado and 2) Vesta Lorena Hoffman (1912-1986) on 24 January 1932 in Red Lodge, Carbon, Montana. Joseph died on 16 June 1964 in Sheridan, Sheridan, Wyoming, United States.
  4. Mary F. Logan was born on 10 May 1902 in Wyoming, United States. She married James Edward Ryan Jr. (1901-1960) c. 1929. Mary died on 12 March 1968 in Los Angeles County, California, United States.
  5. Kenneth L. Logan was born on 22 November 1904 in Wyoming, United States. He married Edyth Alene Myers (1901-1982) before 1947. This was a second marriage, but no name is known for the first marriage which ended in divorce. He died on 7 April 1976 in San Diego, San Diego, California, United States.

Death and Burial

Annie died in Douglas, Converse, Wyoming, United States on 24 October 1937 at the age of 70. Her husband survived her for 7 more years. She was buried in the Douglas Park Cemetery, Douglas, Converse, Wyoming. Find A Grave: Memorial #58055967

She was a native of New York City, where she was born December 4, 1866, the daughter of A. M. and Annie Kerr. As a child she went with her parents to Kansas. She was married in that state to L. J. Logan on November 1, 1888 and they moved to western Nebraska and later to Denver. They came to this county 41 years ago and it had since been their home. She is survived by her husband and five children. The children are Arthur, Leslie, Joe, Mary and Kenneth. A sister, Mrs. S. F. Springer of Goff, Kansas, also survives.
