DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Alexander by comparing test results with other carriers of his ancestors' Y-chromosome or mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Alexander:
Alexander Kerr and Alexander Karr are one in the same. I have personally been to the grave site and the last name is Karr, not Kerr although many of his generation used Kerr and Karr interchangeably. I am not sure how to handle this but they somehow need to be merged under one of the last names. I might add that the father James Kerr as listed in places actually went by James Karr. Again I have been to the grave site and he was buried under the name Karr. Similar to Alexander these people are showing in the records as 2, but are actually 1 person.
