Biography
Catherine Agnes (Kerr) Matthews was born in 1879 in New South Wales, Australia. Her parents were James Kerr and Catherine (McEvoy) Kerr.
Catherine married Arthur James Murray Matthews in 1900 in Victoria.[1]
Catherine died on the 13 December 1944 in Rotorua Hospital. [2]
- MATTHEWS. —On Decemher 13, 1944 (suddenly), at Rotorua Hospital, Catherine Agnes beloved wife of Arthur, loved mother of Queenie (Mrs Brady), Babe (Mrs Lillas), Percy and Roy.—R.l.P. [3]
Her remains were buried in the Rotorua Cemetery. Her grave is in Block 2, Section 8, Plot 5. Her son Alan Arthur Seddon Matthews was buried in this plot in May 1925. [4]
