Catherine Kerr was born in 1841 in Ireland.[1] Her family immigrated to Canada about 1843 and settled in Hastings County, Ontario.[2] She married John Walton in 1869,[3], lived in the United States in the mid-1870s, where two of their children were born, and returned to Canada about 1880 to the Village of Madoc, Ontario.[4] Around 1900 they moved to St. Catharines, where she lived until John’s death in 1918.[5] She died a few months later in Hamilton.[6]
