Hello! Do you have any information on Rebecca Weir being his biological mother? His brother, William Kerr (1762–1844) , is my 5th grandfather and I've been trying to find her for a while now.

Also, there has been some discrepancies with who their grandfather is. I have found two people, Alexander J Kerr (1730-1807... Robert's father) and an Alexander Kerr (1726-1813), claiming Alexander Kerr (1694-1738 son of Archibald Kerr) to be their father. Findagrave.com actually links Robert's father to Alexander, son of Archibald Kerr, as his father. I have found no source to back that up; I think it is incorrect. I hope that makes sense. Any thoughts?
