The writing on the back states "Mother with love from Mary" . In another hand "Aunty Mary Kerr, Aunty Poll". It is assumed to have been taken in Warrnambool as the rear is stamped with "Jordan Warrnambool". Joseph Jordan was a photographer working in Warrnambool. He was active between 1893-1917.
