Biography
When Isabella Kerr was likely born after 1501 in Ferniehirst, Jedburgh, Midlothian, Lothian, Scotland, her father, Sir Andrew Kerr of Ferniehurst, was around 45, and her mother, Janet Home, was around 33. She possibly had three sons and two daughters (possibly more) with Walter Lord Kerr of Cessford. She died on 27 Aug 1586.
Research Notes
The Birth year for Isobel has been amended to state before 1530. Her daughter was said to have been born around 1540 making the previously entered year of before 1543 invalid. Her birth year as before 1530 is Estimated although it is likely to have been several years prior to 1530.
It should be noted that Baptismal Records on ScotlandsPeople only start in 1553.
