Biography

Robert was born in 1791 in Augusta, Virginia. He was the son of Daniel Kerr and Mary Kirkpatrick. He moved with his parents where they finally settled in Deer Creek, in then Pocahontas County, Virginia, now in West Virginia.

On 2 Oct 1817, he married Elizabeth Ann Arbogast. They had 6 known children. He worked as a cooper. They remained in West Virginia throughout their lives. It was here he passed away in 1872.
