Biography

Eliza was born in 1824.[citation needed] She was the daughter of Stephen Kerrison and Mary Goodings. Eliza was christened on 28 October 1827.[1] Eliza Kerrision married James Suddy Taylor in 1840.[2] She passed away in 1905.[citation needed]

Birth date is uncertain. Immigration details state Eliza was 12 on 21 November 1835. Marriage record states she was 15 on 27 April 1840. Her father received a bounty for both Eliza and her older sister Caroline (i.e. the British government paid their passage), it is likely the cut off age for this bounty was 12 so her age was inflated slightly to receive it.[3]
