Henry was a minor when his father died in 1790. On 5 April 1791, the Northumberland County Orphan's Court appointed Michael Shaffer his guardian.[2] On 27 Aug 1797, in response to a petition filed by Henry, the Court replaced Shaffer as Henry's guardian with John Snider, the husband of Henry's sister Susanna.[3] Some time soon after this, the Shaffers together with Henry emigrated to Canada north of Toronto.
Henry was twice married, first to Anna Maria Keffer and second to Esther Steel (born in August, 1791 in Pennsylvania, USA).
During the War of 1812, Henry Castator served as a private in the 1st York Militia. From Oct. 17 to Nov. 24, 1812, he served in Captain John Willson’s Company. [4] From Sept. 20 to 24, 1813, he was at York in Capt. Reuben Richardson’s Detachment. [5]
Henry died on May 23, 1848 in Vaughan, York, Ontario, Canada, aged 68.[6]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Henry by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Henry:
