Biography
Clara Bertha Marie Kiefer was born on February 10, 1908 in Lockwood, Missouri. She was the daughter of Tobias Kiefer and Anna Ott. Clara died at the age of 80 on August 16, 1988 in Cushing, Oklahoma. She was buried in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Meinert, Dade County, Missouri.
Clara married William Fredrick Kluhsman on August 5, 1927 in Meinert, Missouri. They had two daughters, June (Kluhsman) Culver and Hazel (Kluhsman) Taylor.
"Mrs. William Kluhsman", of Albuquerque, New Mexico, was mentioned as the daughter of Tobias Kiefer in his obituary on April 28, 1959.

Lockwood - Clara Kluhsman, 80, Lockwood, died at 4:55 a.m. Tuesday at a local nursing home after a short illness.
Mrs. Kluhsman was born Feb. 10, 1908, in Dade County. A homemaker, she was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Augusta, Kan.
She married Aug. 5, 1927, at Meinert to William Fredrick Kluhsman. He died in 1980.
Survivors include two daughters June Culver, Ozark, Ark., and Hazel Taylor, Augusta, Kan.; three sisters Anna Kiefer, Lockwood; Vernetta Beerly, Carthage, and Lydia Greenfield, Emporia, Kan.; 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Lockwood. The Rev. Darrel Hoerly will officiate, with burial in Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Meinert. Arrangements are under direct of the Lockwood Funeral Chapel.
The family will receive friends at 7-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Dade County Memorial Hospital.
