He died 7 January 1910 in Sandusky Township, Sandusky, Ohio, United States.[citation needed]

Note on Birth Location Although William was born in Williams Township, Northampton, Pennsylvania, United States,[1] it has been said he was born in East Allen Township, Northampton, Pennsylvania, United States. However, a cousin with the same name and similar date of birth was born in East Allen Township.[2] The two may easily be mistaken for each other.
