Bridget Kilduff/Killduff was born on 13 November 1852 in Pennsylvania to Patrick Killduff and Mary Clark, as per her death certificate.
By 1872, Bridget had met and married George Phillips. They may have been living in Maryland at that time.
Bridget and her husband George raised a large family. They had at least two children who died before reaching school age.
Children seemed to have been Bridget's life. Until 1920, the last census taken before she died in 1928, she still had one of her children with her, her son Harry F. She was also keeping her grandchildren by her oldest son, John, who, along with his wife, died within the first 6 years of the 1900s.
Bridget is said to have been a woman of great faith. She died on All Soul's Day, 1 November, 1928. which she surely must have loved. Her death certificate states she died about 6 am that day, and her daughter Margaret Phillips Joye was the informant. She was buried with several family members in Old St. Raymond Cemetery, Bronx, NY.
My father says that his own dad, John L. Phillips, spoke very highly of Bridget at all times.

This could possibly be Bridget in an 1870 census. This is based on the fact that the birthplace for daughter Elizabeth Phillips Curtin is given as "Comberland, MD" ( Cumberland County, MD), which borders on Somerset County, where the Bridget Kilduff in this census is living with her family.
