Biography

Ann was born about 1859, daughter of James Kilpatrick, Iron miner and Agnes Glen.

In the 1861 census Ann (age 2) was the daughter of James Kilpatrick on Couroading Street, Stevenston, Ayrshire, Scotland.[1]

In the 1861 census Ann (age 2) was the grand daughter of Robert Glen on North Street, Dalry (Ayr), Dalry, Ayrshire, Scotland.[2]

In the 1871 census Ann (age 12), Bonnet knitter, was the daughter of Agness Kilpatrick on New Street, Stevenston, Ayrshire, Scotland.[3]

Ann married George Auld They had at least two children:

  1. Helen born 1882 in the United States
  2. Agnes born 1884 om the United States

Ann married James Bennett Whitehead (29) (1858 - 1937) on 25 Nov 1887 in Dalry, Ayr, Scotland.[4][5]

Their children were:

  1. Cecilia Ann Whitehead
  2. John Glen Whitehead
  3. Maria Bennett Whitehead
  4. Jeanie Whitehead

In the 1891 census Ann (age 31) was the wife of James B Whitehead on Reek Street, Beith, Ayrshire.[6]

In the 1901 census Ann (age 40) was the wife of James Whitehead at 384 Dobbies Loan Back, Glasgow Port Dundas, Lanarkshire.[7]

Ann passed away in 1953 at Townhead.[8]
