Heber Kimball gave his daughter, Helen to Joseph Smith to be one of his wives when she was only 14 years old which added additional controversy to plural marriage.[1]Helen was 16 when Smith died. She then married Horrace Kimball Whitney "for life." They had eleven children, six of which lived to adulthood.[2]
