Baptized at Boxford , Essex, Massachusetts, Oct 1720 daughter of John Kimball and Elizabeth Chapman.[1] Mehitable married Timothy Barker and had 5 children. She died after 1797 when she was living at Pelham, New Hampshire and executed a deed related to the dower rights from the estate of her late husband Timothy Barker.

On 10 February 1797, Mehitable and Solomon Cole of Chester, New Hampshire sold their interest in the dower thirds of Mehitable Barker widow to Asa Barker of Bridgton for $90. On 16 February 1797, Mehitable Barker widow of Pelham, James Hall yeoman and Elizabeth his wife of Pelham, and Asa Barker and Lucy his wife of Bridgton sold for $600 to Nathan Barker of Andover the real estate that was set off the Mehitable as her dower.[2]

There are two different Mehitable Kimballs, one who married Timothy Barker and one who married Gideon Tyler. There are also Mehitables of similar age who married Amos Gage and Jonathan Hall. But these are four different women. Mehitable the daughter of John Kimball and Elizabeth Chapman married only Timothy Barker. She did not remarry after the death of Timothy in 1752. Mehitable who married Timothy Barker was a widow living in Pelham, NH in 1797 when she executed a deed related to Timothy's estate and her dower thirds. (Massachusetts Land Records, Essex County, 161:154; 162:179)

Mehitable who married Gideon Tyler died in 1777 at age 52 making her born about 1725. I am disconnecting this Mehitable from Gideon Tyler and adding another Mehitable as Gideon's wife (that Mehitable's parents require further investigation).
