Biography

Abigail was born on 28 January 1704 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts Bay to parents Christopher Kimball and Sarah (Jolls) Kimball, who were married by Cotton Mather, April 3, 1701. They later moved to Bridgewater.[1][2]

Abigail married Job Prince in 1719.

After Job Prince died she married 15 Mar 1732/3 in Kingston, Ephraim Everson, b 1 Sep 1702, d Kingston 7 Jul 1757.

She died 6 SEP 1780 in Kingston, Plymouth, Massachusetts, age 76.[3]

Probate

The will of Abigail Everson, of Kingston, widow was dated 6 February 1776 and proved on 4 December 1780 in Plymouth. She mentions her grandchildren, Job Prince (son of Job Prince), Abigail Prince (daughter of Job Prince), Job Prince (son of Kimball Prince), Abigail Stetson (daughter of Kimball Prince), wife of Theophilus Stetson, Sarah Prince (daughter of Kimball Prince), Abigail Delano (daughter to Hopestill Delano), Abigail Everson (daughter to Robert Everson), Olive Everson (daughter to Ebenezer Everson), Sarah Prince (daughter of Christopher Prince), Ephraim Delano (son of Hopestill Delano), Richard Delano (son of Hopestill Delano), Richard Everson (son of Sylvanus Everson), her son Richard Everson (who is absent), her daughter Ruth Leach, wife of Elijah Leach, her daughter Abigail Delano, wife of Hopestill Delano, the children of her deceased son Thomas Everson (Thomas, James, Abigail, Thankful Delano, Lydia, and Sylvia). Her son Sylvanus Everson was to be the executor. Her inventory was taken on 27 December 1780 in Kingston. [4]

In 1781, an account of her estate by Sylvanus Everson was recorded which included debts received, funeral charges, debts paid, boarding his "mother eight years & five months & her girl Abigail four years & six months", nursing, gravestones, and administration fees.[5]
