Biography

Mary was probably born about 1745. She married Edward "Ned" Vann. She appears in land records with Edward in the 1790's. [1]

They are believed to be the parents of the following children:

Disputed Origins

There is no reliable evidence to support the claims of Don Greene that she was the daughter of the Chickasaw leader The Squirrel King, and a Shawnee Woman.
