Biography

James Monroe King, Jr. was born on Aug. 28, 1901 or 1903 to James King and Altie Cook.

He married Inez Gayton in Sioux County, North Dakota.

During World War I, James served as a Corporal in Battery D, 3rd F. A., 6th Division of the US Army from Mar. 29, 1920 until Mar. 28, 1923.[1]

James died at the age of 44 years on Nov. 1, 1947 in Ferndale, Washington.[2] He is buried at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Ferndale, Washington.[3]
