1840 Marriage

Polly Ann King married Thomas Elliott, 24 Dec 1840 (of three indexing projects, two say December 24 and one says December 4). The wedding was in Liberty, Casey County, Kentucky. ^[1][2]

1850 U.S. Census

Thomas Elliott, age 32, born in Kentucky, was a farmer in Casey County, Kentucky, owning property worth $500. His wife was Polly Elliott, age 26. Children were: Nancy Elliott , age 8; Sarah Elliott, age 6; William Elliott, age 4; and David Elliott, age 2.^[3]

1859 Birth of Daniel

A male child, unnamed in FamilySearch Indexing, was born to Thomas Elliott and [Polly] King on November 5, 1859. ^[4]

Polley, age 35, and Thomas Elliott, age 42, lived in Poplar Hill, Casey County, Kentucky, the county where he had been born. He was a farmer with real estate worth $1,000 and other property worth $800. Their children were:

Johnson Elliott, born 1858, age 89, died in Liberty, Casey County, Kentucky on January 5, 1947. He was the son of Thomas Elliott and Mary Ann King. (Polly is a common nickname for girls named Mary.) ^[7]
