William King was baptised at St Mary the Virgin, Kirtlington, Oxfordshire on 5th March 1815.[1] He was the son of Charles and Elizabeth. His father stated on the register that he was a labourer.
Marriage
William King and Rhoda Lambourne were married after banns at St Mary the Virgin, Kirtlington, Oxfordshire on 28th October 1850.[2] They were bachelor and spinster, both of full age and living in the parish. William was a labourer and the son of Charles King, also a labourer. Rhoda was the daughter of Christopher Lambourne who was a labourer. Neither could write so they both made their mark on the register with a cross. The witnesses to the marriage were Elizabeth Hawtin and Job Lambourne.[3]
