Biography

Harry I. King, son of Frank L. and Minnie (Lewis) King, was born in 1881 in Eaton, Madison County, New York.[1] He appeared on the census of 13 June 1900 in the home of his mother at Gloversville, Fulton, County, New York.[2] He was a partner with Fritz Baumgartel in a vaudeville comic roller skating act known was the "Gartelle Brothers' from 1905 to 1913.[3]

He was a motion picture operator when he married Lulu May Smith, daughter of Uzella and Anne (Hall) Smith, on 29 Dec. 1912 at Gloversville, New York. His brother, Raymond, was a witness. [1]

He was a sound operator at a theater when he an May appeared on the census of 1930 at Gloversville, Fulton County, New York.[4] In 1960 Harry, age 72 and Fritz age 82, planned to do a come back of their vaudeville act.[5]

Harry died on 6 April 1965 at Fish Memorial Hospital, New Smyrna Beach, Florida.[3]
