Biography

Clarinda was orphaned at a young age. Her mother died 9 days after her birth. Her father died on or before 20 February 1845. 2 years 3 months 18 days after her birth. If she had siblings it was when her father was earlier married to Catharine Slankard in 1838. In her father's 1840 census there is a female under 5, this would be her half sister. In her father's probate it doesn't mention any other siblings, just Clarinda.
