Biography

Muriel Kate King was born in Kinsale, Ireland on 28 December 1893^[1][2] to William King^[3] and Catherine Amelia Horn^[4]. William was in the Army and moved a lot.

In 1901 she was living in Portsmouth with her mother and two siblings^[4].

In 1911 she was working as a Housemaid at University College Oxford^[5].

She was 24 when she married George Edward Kellett at the Parish church in the Parish of Cowley, Oxford, England on 21 October 1918^[3].

In 1925 she was living at 303 Main Road Ravensbourne^[6] listed as Married.

She was named the beneficiary of George Edward Kellett's will when he wrote it in 1928 ^[7].

She may have had a daughter as a Joyce Amelia Kellett made an Oath that she knew George when alive on 3 July 1951^[7].

She was living at 19 Dunedin Terrace, Melrose, Wellington when she died on 17 March 1967^[8].

She was buried in Anderson Bay Cemetery ^[2] with George Kellett.

She has a will held in Wellington Archives^[9] which may name any children of George and Muriel.
