"Est. Gilla Sowell Last Will & Testament In the name of God Amen

I Gilla Sowell of the District of Kershaw & State of South Carolina being of sound mind and memory and considering the uncertainty of this frail and transitory life do therefore make Ordain publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament that is to say 10:51, 5 January 2014 (EST)10:51, 5 January 2014 (EST)

First I give and bequeath to my grand Daughter Caleb Horton Daughter of John S Horton One bed furniture and Trunk

Second I give and bequeath to Eliza Holley the Wife of John Holley Twenty Dollars in Cash.

Third I give and bequeath unto Gilla Ann Thompson the wife of Wm Thompson Twenty Dollars in Cash.

Fourth I give and bequeath unto Loude Raley the Wife of Wm Raley Jr Twenty Dollars in Cash.

Fifth I give and bequeath unto my daughter Biddy Ann Horton the wife of John S Horton my Bureau

Sixth I give and bequeath unto my Nine Children viz Lewis, King, George, William, Gilliam, Levi, James Russel, John A Sowell and Biddy Ann Horton the Wife of John S Horton the following property viz my Negro man Robt Aaron, Negro woman Rachel & child, Negro girl, and all of my Flax Plantation, Implements, Household and Kitchen Furniture, crops and provisions that may have been promised at my death Share & Share alike

Seventh Likewise, I make Constitute and Appoint my Sons William Sowell and John A Sowell to be my executors In this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Wills by me made, In Witness Whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name and Affixed my Seal this the Sixth day March A.D. 1855.
