Biography

Rebecca King, born November 21, 1806. Rebecca married Ephraim M. Johnson and they were parents of seven children. (Hall County History by Sybil McRay, KING FAMILY MOVED TO HALL IN EARLY PART OF 1800'S)

Rebecca King is the daughter of Robert King and Frances Tilly.

"Rebecca Johnson departed this life April 19th, 1837, after an illness of seven days—cut down as the flower of the field in the bloom of life. She died as she had lived, a wife, a mother, and a Christian—and is gone to rest with the people of God. Farewell my love, my youthful wife, till Gabriel sounds the dirge of time—then may we hail and embrace each other in the first resurrection, and enter into the Saints' ever lasting rest, and enjoy each other, and praise God the Father, Son and Holy Ghost forever and ever. Amen"[1]

King-18028 and King-17295 appear to represent the same person because: When Rebecca was attached to the correct King family it created a duplicate. Please see the attached pdf document to explain. There are 2 King families-one from England (Rebecca's family) and one from Ireland (the original family she was connected to). I have separated the 2 families in an attempt to straighten it out. Because she is not from my husband's Irish King family I don't have any information about her marriage, etc. other that the website used as a source. This information will need to corrected as needed.
