Reuben Gerald Darwine "Gary" King, 62, of Kokomo, passed away at 12:08 AM Friday September 20, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo. Born July 25, 1951 in Kokomo, he is the son of the late Orville H. King and Mary A. (Glassburn) King. He was a 1970 graduate of Kokomo High School. He was also a veteran serving in the United States Army. He was a die caster at the Kokomo Chrysler Casting Plant for 16 years, retiring in 1987. He enjoyed playing the violin, fishing, and had attended the First Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include one brother Ron (Arlene) King of Kokomo; four sisters Lynda (Mike) Randolph of Kokomo, Lanora (Charles) Eldridge of Louisville, KY, Connie Roseberry of Houma, LA, and Sue Perry of Kokomo; also several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and two brothers.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, September 25, 2013 at Ellers Mortuary Main Street Chapel, 725 South Main Street, Kokomo. Pastor David Leeder will officiate. Burial with military rites by the US Army and the Kokomo Military Rites Team will follow in Crown Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Wednesday at the mortuary. 1
