Biography

Myrtle was born in 1888 to George King and Louisa A. (Cheney) King, the youngest of three children in Pope County, Illinois.^[1]

Myrtle continued living with her parents even when they relocated to Metropolis City in Massac County, until her marriage to John Tudor Donaldson in 1917.^[2] In 1910, Myrtle was working as a typesetter at a printing office.^[3] During this time, John Donaldson had met, courted, and married her.^[4]

By 1920 Myrtle and John had moved to Peoria, IL, and now had a two year old daughter, Jennelu Donaldson.^[5]

Myrtle continued living in Peoria until her death in 1937. She had been working as a bottling line-presser.^[6] She was buried in Parkview Cemetery.^[7]
