Harold Kirby was born on 15 April 1889 in Kew, Victoria, Australia. He is the son of Emma Kirby and Thomas Kirby.^[1]

He married Lucy Edna Allan in 1913 in Victoria.^[2]

Harold died on 10 May 1948 in Caulfield, Victoria.^[3] His remains were buried on 12 May 1948 at Boroondara General Cemetery, Kew, Victoria. ^[4]
